This trip was an exciting and unique opportunity for students to immerse themselves in the world of leadership at Disney World. This immersive experience goes beyond traditional classroom learning, allowing our students to witness firsthand how one of the world's most renowned companies cultivates leadership skills, fosters innovation, and delivers exceptional customer service. Through a combination of workshops, behind-the-scenes tours, and interactions with Disney's seasoned leaders, SJA students gained valuable insights into the principles and practices that drive Disney's success. By exploring real-world examples of leadership in action within the magical environment of Disney World, our Advanced Semester course equips students with the knowledge and inspiration they need to become effective leaders in any field.
New York City
Throughout the program, students had the opportunity to engage in exciting sightseeing activities. They visited iconic landmarks such as the Statue of Liberty, Central Park, Times Square, and the Empire State Building, allowing them to witness the city's breathtaking skyline and immerse themselves in its unique energy.
Moreover, students can explore world-class museums like the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), and the American Museum of Natural History. Exploring these sights and neighborhoods not only enhances our students' cultural awareness but also provides them with a holistic understanding of New York City's diverse and multifaceted landscape!
Historic Philadelphia
This course combines rigorous academic study with hands-on experiences, allowing students to explore the historic landmarks and cultural heritage that define Philadelphia. From visiting Independence Hall, where the Declaration of Independence was adopted, to examining the iconic Liberty Bell, our students gained a deep understanding of the American Revolution and the birth of a nation. Additionally, they had the chance to engage with local experts, historians, and scholars who provided invaluable insights into the city's history. This trip is a transformative educational journey that is designed to leave our students with a profound appreciation for the significance of Philadelphia in shaping the course of American history.
Ashley’s Horse Farm
One of the highlights of the Advanced Semester was a unique experience with Ashley's Riding Academy. A group of students had the opportunity to spend their advanced semester at this renowned horse farm, immersing themselves in the world of horses and learning about the logistical operations behind running such a facility. The students were exposed to various aspects of horse care, stable management, and equestrian activities. This hands-on experience provided them with a deeper understanding of the equine industry and nurtured their passion for these magnificent creatures.
CSI (Crime Scene Investigation)
SJA students aspiring forensic scientists had the opportunity to choose our CSI course. Here, our students became crime scene investigators, learning about the intricacies of forensic analysis, evidence collection, and crime-solving techniques. This hands-on experience provided valuable insights into the world of law enforcement and forensic science.
