What has been the most rewarding part of being a St. Joseph Academy student over the last four years?
The most rewarding part of being a student at SJA is knowing that I’ve made countless friendships and memories that will last a lifetime. I will never forget my time at SJA. I’m going to walk out of this great school with an even better education and knowledge that is going to prepare me for any of my future endeavors.
If James Mantuano today could speak to James Mantuano entering his Freshman Year at St. Joseph Academy, what pearls of wisdom would you bestow upon him and all our current Wildcats?
Enjoy the ups and down, nobody’s path to success is a straight line. Trust God always. He has a plan for you. Take nothing for granted it goes so quickly. To current wildcats, these 4 years will be the best years of your life. Enjoy it the best you can. Cherish all the little things like lunchroom jokes or post-game bus rides. These are the moments I’ll remember most after my time is done at SJA. Lastly, always strive to be the best version of yourself.
Where will you be attending school after SJA? What are you most looking forward to?
I will be attending Fairleigh Dickinson. I’m most looking forward to continuing my athletic career playing baseball at the highest collegiate level and embracing the many challenges of being a D1 athlete. My time at SJA most definitely got me more than prepared to tackle any obstacles that come my way!
How has SJA helped mold you into the young man you are today?
SJA molded me into the young man I am today by teaching me many life lessons that will stick with me for the rest of my life. Whether it was on the football field or in the classroom. I was learning to never give up when times get tough. I learned to have an elite work ethic because if you don’t outwork your opponent day in and day out he will beat you come game day. In life, the small details always matter the most. I wouldn’t change my SJA experience for the world for these invaluable keys to life.
