Develop your passion.
While academics will always remain a top priority, St. Joseph Academy also encourages students to participate in co-curricular activities and clubs. Our programs play an essential role in providing a well-rounded education and also help students determine career paths. We provide motivating, confidence building opportunities to help students find new interests and strengthen existing ones.

CHOIR
Enjoy singing? Consider joining the other voices at St. Joseph Academy. There’s no style off-limits. We sing classical to pop and everything in between. Our club is about experiencing music, creativity, expression and artistry. Plus, studies have shown that singing has physical, social and mental benefits. People who sing have less stress and are in a better mood. Be happy! Join us to cultivate your musical skills, make some friends and build relationships with people who have a common interest. All are welcome and you’ll be happy to know that there are no auditions.

INTERNATIONAL ACTION
(INTERACT)
Take action and make new friends around the world by joining our Interact Club. Interact is Rotary-sponsored and helps students discover the power of service above self. We organize at least two projects every year, one that helps our school or community and one that promotes international understanding. Connects with Rotary’s global network to learn about other cultures and exchange ideas with peers worldwide! Develop leadership skills, build connections in the community and become part of Rotary’s family.

MOCK
TRIAL
Thinking about going into law or entering politics? Then join Mock Trial! Learn essential skills, such as public speaking, critical thinking, and the art of forming persuasive, cohesive, arguments and debates. You’ll get the chance to participate in simulated civic and criminal trials, with witnesses, plaintiffs, judges and everything in between. Students will learn to think on their feet by having the opportunity to be on the prosecution and defense side of cases. If you like hard work and being part of a team, the rewards of the Mock Trial experience will be incredible.

NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY
Being selected as a member of the National Honor Society shows that you are among the best students in your class, not just in terms of academics, but also in terms of leadership, service and character. Throughout the year you will have the opportunity to participate in conferences and summits, as well as numerous purposeful community service projects and outreach activities. You’ll also have access to member-only support with college admissions and financial aid planning. Colleges like to see anything that sets you apart as a top student, and this is one of them. Here’s your chance to set yourself apart from the rest.

PERFORMING ARTS &
CREATIVE WRITING
Our Performing Arts & Creative Writing Club is open to students who are interested in being in front of or behind the curtain! Here’s your chance to explore passions and express your creativity, whether you want to be on the stage or learning the ropes behind the scenes. We expose students to all the various aspects of theater in collaboration with the Eagle Theater and Stockton University. In addition to our school play, we’ll attend local productions, Hammonton Third Thursdays, Tech Day and playwright workshops. Our goal is to provide the inspiration to help you cultivate your interests!

STUDENT AMBASSADORS
Like meeting new people and possess lots of enthusiasm? The Student Ambassadors Club might be the perfect fit for you. Our Ambassadors serve as the face of St. Joseph Academy and act as a liaison between our school and prospective students and families. Participation requires attending meetings and training sessions, conducting individual or school group tours, shadowing and answering questions about our culture, academics, athletics and clubs. You will also be responsible for mentoring any new students and ensuring they feel part of the St. Joseph family. Be prepared to make a big impression.

STUDENT GOVERNMENT
ASSOCIATION (SGA)
Be an advocate and join our Student Government Association (SGA)! SGA is a student-run organization that represents the best interests of the entire student body. This club is designed to foster leadership skills, encourage school spirit and teach democratic principles among students. As an elected advocate, you’ll serve as a liaison between faculty and students to bring about positive change by being the voice of other students. Additional responsibilities include planning, organizing and participating in school events designed to promote camaraderie within St. Joseph Academy.

TECHNOLOGY
(TECH)
Our Tech Club is perfect for anyone interested in discussing, theorizing and participating in the world of technology! The purpose of this club is to expose you to some of the day in and day out activities of those in the fields of design, visual arts, media, videography and photography, robotics and more. Here’s your chance to gain hands-on experience in the latest technology trends. And this year we’re on a mission to host, film and produce a St. Joseph Academy Morning Announcement show! Our job is to help you hone your interests and put you on the right career path.

WOMEN’S INSTITUTE OF
LEADERSHIP & LEARNING (WILL)
We developed WILL to help our young women become lifelong leaders and scholars, while promoting college and career development. St. Joseph Academy provides meaningful experiences by exposing them to positive role models, internships and opportunities to participate in community activities. WILL empowers our girls to achieve their goals, take responsibility for their lives and become strong, confident young ladies. We’re here to help them discover their own power, become self-reliant and achieve success while conducting themselves with dignity and grace.
